Sorry if this is non photography related but I recently purchased an E71 and everything was fine but one thing which annoyed me was when I was unable to play music which I have uploaded to the memory card. After searching around I finally found the solution and thought if you found this article you were probably facing the same issues. When copying your mp3's to your memory card make sure the files are stored under "Sound Clips > Digital Sounds". Anywhere else the player will not detect it.
